The Obuasi East Municipal Assembly has officially re-awarded the contract for the construction of the Akaporiso Community Centre, taking decisive action to ensure the project’s completion. The re-awarding took place on September 24th.
The action became necessary after the previous contractor vacated the site for an extended period, stalling the much-needed community development project.
The new contract has been granted to “In HIM IS LIFE 200 Ventures.”
During the formal handover, the Municipal Planning Officer, Jones Agyemang, stressed the urgency of the project. He tasked the receiving contractor to ensure the structure is completed within four (4) months, acknowledging that the building has been a long-awaited asset for the community’s benefit.
The new contractor, in response, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and promised to deliver the community centre within the stipulated timeline, signaling renewed hope for Akaporiso residents.
