The Obuasi East Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Office of the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC), has organized a one-day training workshop on Local Government Protocols, Code of Conduct, and Performance Management Systems for its staff. The workshop, held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, aimed at strengthening capacity and promoting effective governance within the municipality.
In a welcome address, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. William Kofi Adzowu, stated the importance of the training in enhancing staff competence and efficiency. He noted that the exercise was crucial in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, improving service delivery, and fostering efficient governance. Hon. Adzowu urged staff to take full advantage of the program, stressing that the knowledge and skills acquired would enable them to better execute their roles in serving the community.

Staff were also trained on reporting procedures, disciplinary measures, interpretation of legal provisions, and protocols guiding relations between Assembly members and employees.
Recognition and Appreciation
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Eric Aboagye-Mensah, expressed appreciation to the facilitators for their expertise and dedication in building the capacity of staff. He also commended staff for their active participation and commitment to improving service delivery within the Assembly.
The training was facilitated by a team from the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council, led by the Regional Director of Human Resource, Mrs. Vivian Akumia, who guided the sessions and engaged staff in discussions on best practices for effective local governance.
