As part of the District Assembly’s collective goal of ensuring the sanity and sanctity of our natural environment, a delegation led by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Faustina Akua Amissah together with the District Co-ordinating director, Mr. Eric Aboagye and the Assistant director, engaged tailing contractors within the Obuasi East District.
This engagement sought to educate contractors on the need to protect the environment. Emphasis was strongly laid on the importance of reclamation of lands to prevent the occurrence of unforeseen calamities. The fruitful engagement was successfully done with passionate assurances given to the Assembly by the contractors. They solemnly pledged to enhance Environmental protection and desist from engaging in activities that will further contribute towards the pollution of the Environment.
