Odumasi and Ahansoyewodea Chiefs Pay Courtesy Visit to Newly Elected Obuasi East MCE

In a show of unity and support, the chiefs and elders of Odumasi and Ahansoyewodea paid a courtesy visit to the newly elected Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Obuasi East Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. The visit, which took place at the MCE’s office around 3:00 p.m., was aimed at congratulating him on his appointment and discussing key developmental concerns affecting their communities.

The delegation, led by the chiefs of Odumasi and Ahansoyewodea, lauded the MCE for his rising to the position and used the occasion to officially declare their full support for his administration. They emphasized the need for collaboration between traditional authorities and the municipal leadership to promote progress within the municipality.

A major highlight of the meeting was the chiefs’ petition for the development of inner roads within the Odumasi township. They appealed to the MCE to use the influence and authority of his office to advocate for the rehabilitation and construction of these roads, which they said are critical to the area’s economic and social advancement.

“Our doors are always open,” the chiefs assured, adding that they are ready to offer any form of support necessary to ensure the success of the MCE’s tenure.

In his response, the MCE expressed deep appreciation for the visit, describing it as a great source of motivation. He thanked the chiefs for their encouraging words, wise counsel, and demonstrated commitment to partnership.

“I am humbled by your support,” he stated. “I will engage with the appropriate higher offices to see how best the Odumasi roads can receive the attention they deserve. I remain committed to serving the people of Obuasi East with dedication and transparency.”

The meeting ended on a hopeful note, with both parties reaffirming their readiness to collaborate for the collective development of the municipality.
