The Agriculture department of the Obuasi East District Assembly has organized a planning session for farmers on Tuesday 3rd August, 2021.
The Planning session is to serve as a basis of identifying farming issues at the various operational areas and enable the district to collate farmers constraints. The Session also identifies vital commodities grown in the District and challenges.
The District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Faustina Amissah and the District Coordinating Director Mr. Eric Aboagye Mensah also graced the occasion.
Hon. Faustina Amissah said farming is key as far as the District is concerned. She encouraged the farmers to take advantage of the government flagship programs such as Planting for Food and Jobs, Planting for Export and Rural Development and Rearing for Food and Jobs and work hard.
She the assured the farmers of increasing assistance in the area of agriculture by the government.
