The meeting commenced at 10:38pm. The opening prayer was said by Hon. Rev. Emmanuel Anane.
OPENING REMARKS BY THE PRESIDING MEMBER (PM) The Presiding Member, Hon. Jeff. K.A. Oware welcomed members to the meeting. He thanked members for responding positively to the invitation. He said the purpose of the meeting was to deliberate on issues relating to the development of the Obuasi East District. He therefore, called on members to make their contributions to the days Business so that proceedings will be effective and complete on time
READING AND DISCUSSION OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES The following corrections were made by the Hon. Members I. Domeadra be read as Domeabra.
MATTERS ARISING FROM THE PREVIOUS MINUTES Illegal Occupants of AGA Bungalow Hon. DCE informed the house that the Assembly had been shown the boundaries of the Assembly’s share of the bungalows. She assured the house that very soon ejection notices would be issued to all illegal occupants before the next meeting. Hon members wanted to know the number of OMA staff that occupied the bungalows. Hon. DCE responded that some of the buildings were occupied by OMA staff before AGA handed over the facilities to the Assembly saying that staff would be replaced as and when such staff is posted out. She added that Management had written letters to all illegal occupants to vacate the facilities before the end of the year. Hon. Members enquired to know why AGA refused to give some of the bungalows to all the security service in the District. Hon. Edmond Adjei responded that after the handover of the properties to those who matter, AGA had no control over the properties again. In a discussion to have lasting solution to the whole issue, Hon. Assembly Members proposed that, it would be useful if the operations were given to the Rent control to handle all legal issues affecting the exercise. Motion to engage Rent Control Department to serve ejection letter to illegal occupants on AGA Assembly’s Bungalows Hon. Daniel Obeng, moved a motion to task Management to engage Rent Control Department to serve ejection letters to all illegal occupants on AGA Assembly’s Bungalows. The motion was seconded by Hon. Justice Anokye and it was carried. Replacement of non-functional Street lights Hon. Listowel Okyere Darko reported that most of the street lights in the district had a challenge and therefore need to be maintained. Again most of the Metal Low Tension Poles needed to be replaced.
The meeting after discussions, resolved to maintain and replace all damaged street lights in the District. Assembly Electrician Hon Justice Anokye enquired to know the progress made by Management to have its own electrician after the resolution to employ electrician for the Assembly. The DCD responded that an electrician was posted to the Assembly as an additional staff by the RCC and had reported to work and currently at post. Motion Without further discussion, Hon. Justice Anokye moved for the Acceptance of the previous minutes. The motion was seconded by Hon. Nii Teiko.
BRIEF REPORT BY POLICE COMMANDER The District Police Commander in his brief report to the house said that, generally there was peace and tranquility during the quarter but said there were pockets of crimes such as murder cases, abortion of unwanted pregnancy through illegal means which led to death among others. General minor crimes namely, thievery, snatching of phones and other electrical gadgets was also recorded. He said the MTTD Department arrested (Fifty-four) 54 Motor Bikes out of which, only Four (4) Motor bikes had been duly registered and the Commander had sent the bikes to the DVLA for registration and their next line of action. He explained that most of the owners did not have documents covering their ownership and therefore, registration had become very difficult. Comments from Members Hon. Members suggested that, the Police Command should extend their patrolling to Gyimiso and other small communities in the District instead of concentrating on communities on the main trunk road. Hon. PM on his part addressed that, the creation of more police check points in the District would reduce crime since the visibility of the police personnel help check crime. DSP. Assenso responded that, the police Command was working hard to create more check points but said their challenge had to do with adequate personnel to man the check points. Support to police command The members after extensive deliberations of the security report from the police command, resolved that in order to ensure peace and tranquility in the District, there were the need for the police command to extend their patrols to the communities.
In that regard, Members of the Assembly tasked Management to support police command with fuel and help them repair their operation vehicle.
LEGISLATION OF PRAGIA TRICYCLE Hon. Members wanted to know, whether pragia operations were legal. ASP Matin Asenso responded that Pragia operations were not approved therefore, their operation was not legal. The DCE supported the assertion by DSP Asenso and said Obuasi East District had not authorized the operation of pragia in the district. REGISTRATION OF ASSEMBLY MEMBERS MOTOR BIKES Hon. Members wanted to know Assembly’s without registration would be treated. This was because the assembly members motor came without required document registration. The Police Commander responded that the service could only settle such case upon receipt of official letter from the Assembly. BRIEFING BY DISTRICT HEALTH DIRECTOR The District Health Director, informed members that the directorate had conducted 1229 COVID-19 tests during the period. Out of that, 474 were positive, 14 death cases and 1 active case currently. She said the directorate was still administrating Covid-19 vaccination for both first and second dose at the markets and other public places adding that most of the community members had stopped observing the covid-19 protocols. She advised members to continue observing the protocols to reduce the spread of the novel virus. Adding that, there was no isolation center in the District in case there was a critical case, the patient has to be transferred to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Comments from Members Hon. Listowel Okyere Darko commented that, education and observations of covid-19 had reduced drastically and therefore urged health directorate to continue educating the general public on covid-19. COVID-19 Vaccination The District Health Director responding, informed the house that the sensitization program on covid-19 had being reduced due to lack of funds and mass vaccination exercise being administered by the health staff. She added that, a jingle on covid-19 had been given to the Information Centers to be played. Hon. PM suggested that the health directorate should come out with the schedule for the administration of the vaccination in the district. The Health Director responded that the Community Health workers always inform the Unit Committee members before undertaking such exercise adding that a WhatsApp page had also been created for the Hon. Members to disseminate information on the vaccination. The meeting discussed the report of the health director at length and resolved that, the health directorate should be visiting offices, market centers and other institutions to administer the vaccines and report back. PRESENTATION OF THE REPORT OF BUILD OPERATE AND TRANSFER (BOT) COMMITTEE The report of the above committee was presented by Hon. Daniel Obeng. Saying that, the committee met on several occasions and made the under listed recommendation for approval by the house; That, the Assembly should ensure that all those with BOT binding agreement with OMA should be changed to the Obuasi East District Assembly to reflect the current location and jurisdictional authority. That, all Assembly BOT facilities should be in scripted boldly to display the ownership. That, BOT operators who do not have binding agreement should be given some to regularize their operations. That, henceforth standardized architectural drawings be given to prospective investors on BOT before commencing the construction. That, before assigning periods to any BOT facilities, valuations and quantities of the drawing be done to get a fair idea of the total cost of the facilities. That, Mr. Boakye Kuttin be invited by the committee for interrogations to ascertain the true state of his BOT agreement. That, Caretaker Agreements be given to those whose agreements had expired and renovated their facilities to become user friendly. That, the Assembly should take over the operations of the facilities from the operators who failed to submit their documents for inspections to serve as a deterrent. Comments by the Members Report of BOT on Assembly’s Store/Stall Hon. Alfred Fosu Donkor suggested to the house to include all BOT of the Assembly including Store/Stalls to the committee. Hon. Yakubu Lamin commented that there was a BOT Toilet in his electoral area which had been closed down for some time now by the operator. He therefore pleaded with the committee to investigate reasons of closure of the facility. Hon. Daniel Obeng responded that, the committee had visited the facility and it was found out that the operator was renovating the facility and would soon open same for use by the general public. Members after deliberating on the report presented by the committee resolved to include to the committee’s work on Store/Stall and present report to the Assembly.
BRIEF REPORT BY ELECTRICITY COMPANY OF GHANA (ECG) Mr. Gospel Nii Odoi Pratt the ECG representative in his briefing, informed the members that ECG had a daily work schedule of which they follow. Adding that, when there was an issue after the workers had been dispatched such cases were always moved to the next day for redress. Hon. Listowel Okyere Darko wanted to know the total energy consumed in the District. Adding that, there was always low voltage in the District. Hon. Alfred Fosu Donkor on his part advised ECG to notify the public whenever there would be a low schedule in the district. Mr.Gospel Nii Odoi Pratt responding informed members that, the Obuasi ECG had inadequate staff. They only depend on staff from Kumasi when there was an electrical problem which causes delay in responding to some of the issues. Distribution of Low Tension Poles Members of the house deliberated the report of the ECG at length and urged swiftly the ECG to act swiftly whenever report was made to them. Again the house tasked management to distribute the light poles procured by the Assembly to Hon. Members to fix them in their electoral areas. PRESENTATION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE REPORT The Executive committee report was presented by the Hon. DCE saying that since her confirmation the Assembly undertook programs and projects such as the Constitution of the Three Town Councils, Procurement of Mini Bus, Procurement of 150 Low Tension Poles. Construction of 1NO 4 Units Classroom Block at St. Joseph Basic School- Wawasi. Construction of 1NO Community Centre with 3 Offices at Akaporiso, Construction of 1NO 20 Seater Water Closet Toiler Facility with Septic Tank and NO1 Mechanized Borehole at CKC SHS among other programs. She therefore presented Executive Committee Report as follows; Finance and Administration Sub – Committee 1. That, each community should revive their Water and Sanitation Committees on management of boreholes facilities for effective and efficient management of the various Community Boreholes. 2. That, BOT Committee should be allowed to work on the Assembly Stores/Stalls allocations. 3. That, going forward, the Assembly should take steps to construct concrete Footbridges in the District instead of metallic one’s.
Mines and Environment Sub-Committee That the under listed recommendations in the District Inter-Agency Coordinating Committee on Sanitation (DICCS) be enforced in the District. · No vehicle should be permitted to transfer food products in the district until approval had been given by Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit of the Assembly · All vehicles involved in transporting food products must be appropriate and has the following requirement. o An enclosed compartment under lock for products alone o Storage compartment must be made of impervious materials, non-corrosive and washable materials o Appropriate temperature for the product · No person is allowed to transport food or beverage in the product storage compartment of the vehicle · All meat products should be packaged in polythene bags before loaded into the approved van · Staff of Veterinary and Environmental Health Department be present daily to ensure meat products from the abattoir for public consumption were wholesome · Monitoring transportation of the product during transit to the final destination (market) · People loading and offloading meat products should not carry meat on their bare bodies · All stakeholders in the food industry be identified and educated on the development. · Perform regular health screening (at least once a year) for individuals engaged in the value chain of food and beverage products · Private individuals and groups interested in the business should be permitted provided they meet the conditions
Agric Sub – Committee 1. That, Domeabra had been proposed as the venue for the organization of the 2021 District Farmer’s Day Celebration. 2. That, the District Farmers Day Committee be constituted as early as possible. 3. That, T-shirt printed for Farmers Day Celebration be given to the Chief Whip for distribution to the Assembly members. 4. That, education on climate change and climate smart agriculture be intensified. 5. That, the ban on movement of pigs and poultry and their products be enforced. The house after discussion approved all the committee’s recommendations and tasked management to implement same.
Justice and Security Sub – Committee 1. That, the Assembly should have approved for the procurement of lined – line phone to the Police Command and the ECG for prompt Client Service. 2. That, Fire Service Tender Bay / Appliance Bay be repaired. 3. That, Tasked Force be formed to decongest all congested places in the District.
Works Sub – Committee 1. That, Metallic Footbridges be provided at the areas and places which needed them most to avoid accident. 2. That, drains be constructed in Flood Prone Areas. 3. That, Classroom Block at Boete Primary ‘C’ be maintained and 3Unit Classroom Block be constructed at Odumasi Primary School. 4. That, the Assembly should take steps to reshape critical Feeder roads in the District. 5. That, the Assembly should demonstrate keen interest in the reclamation exercise at Boete Sunset. 6. That the Assembly should maintain all damaged / Spoilt Photocells in the District. 7. That, 150 Low Tension Poles supplied to the Assembly should be distributed as soon as practicable.
Social Service Sub-Committee 1. That, an investigation be conducted on the rumors of the alleged Exams malpractice at CKC. 2. That, educational stakeholders should assist the GES directorate to conduct the 2021 BECE. The house approved all the recommendation and tasked management to implement same and revert
MOTION In the absent of further deliberations, Hon Daniel Obeng Moved for the closing of the meeting and the motion was seconded by Hon. Bismark Akowuah. ADJOURMENT Hon Justice Anokye moved for the adjournment of the meeting to the Next Day. The motion was seconded by Hon. Alfred Fosu Donkor and was carried CLOSING REMARKS BY THE PRESIDING MEMBER. The Presiding Member, Hon. Jeff K.A. Oware, thanked members for making the meeting successful. He advised all Hon. Members to report on time for the continuation the meeting. DAY TWO The meeting commenced at 10:45AM. When the opening prayer was said by Hon. Rev. Emmanuel Anane. OPENIG ADDRESS BY PRESIDING MEMBER (PM) The Presiding Member, Hon. Jeff K. A. Oware, welcomed all members to the meeting. He thanked members for reporting on time, saying that he was pleased with the members’ cooperation and inputs during the previous day’s proceedings and urged members to do same during the day’s proceedings. The PM then called on the District Planning Officer and the Budget Analyst to present the proposed 2022 District Composite Annual Action Plan, Fixing Resolution and the Composite Annual Budget respectively.
PRESENTATION OF 2022 DISTRICT COMPOSITE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN Mr. Jones Agyemang the District Planning Officer presented the 2022 District Composite Action Plan to the house saying that, the plan had been taken through the process before coming out with the proposed 2022 Action Plan for member’s attention. After the presentation of the document to the house Hon. Bismark Ankowuah moved for the discussions of the plan by members.
Motion to Approved the 2022 District Annual Composite Action Plan. Hon Bismark Akowuah after extensive discussions of the documents by members, moved for acceptance and of the 2022 District Composite Annual Action Plan. The motion was seconded by Hon. Justice Anokye and it was carried. The house then tasked management to ensure the implementation of the documents.
PRESENTATION OF 2022 DISTRICT ANNUAL COMPOSITE BUDGET AND FEE FIXING RESOLUTION Mr. Daniel Ntri-Nyame the District Budget Analyst presented the 2022 District Annual Composite Budget and Fee Fixing Resolution to the house saying that the Composite Budget was prepared based on the guidelines issued by Ministry of Finance. He therefore took members through the proposed 2022 Fee-Fixing Resolution and Composite Annual Budget saying that the document had been taken through the process by involving all the stakeholders before the final document produced. After the presentation of the above-named documents Hon Daniel Obeng moved a motion for the discussions of the proposed 2022 Annual Composite Budget and Fee- fixing Resolutions. Hon Alfred Ofosu Donkor wanted to know the reason behind the 100% increment on Vehicle dealers. Hon. Daniel Obeng responded that, looking at the activities of the vehicle dealers, what there were paying to the Assembly were too meager hence the increment, he however told the meeting that all those who were affected by the increment were consulted during the stakeholders’ engagement with them Motion to Approved the 2022 Composite Annual Budget and Fee Fixing Resolution Hon Justice Anokye after extensive discussions of the two documents by the members moved for the acceptance and approval of both the 2022 Fee Fixing Resolution and the Annual Composite Budget. The motion was seconded by Hon. Isaac Nsaah and the house approved the 2022 Fee-Fixing Resolution and Composite Annual Budget. Management was tasked to implement the house decision. PRESENTATION OF DRAFT DISTRICT MEDIUM TERM MEDIUM DEVELOPMENT PLAN (2022-2025) Mr. Jones Agyemang, the District Planning Officer presented the Draft District Medium Term Development Plan (2022-2025) to the house. He stated that, the Draft District Medium Term Development Plan was in line with the Presidents vision and the plan was derived out of the vision of the president of Ghana, saying that all the MMDAs Medium Term Development Plan would be fused into the National plan hence all MMDAs were directed to submit their Medium Team Plan for incorporation onto the National Plan. Mr. Jones Agyemang told the meeting that, the planning Unit had done a due diligent work in preparing the plan by going through all the process, involved all those who matter, organized communities’ engagement which was fully participated in all the communities within the district. Adding that, stakeholders such as artisans, transporters and others were all involved in the preparation of the document. The DPO then took the house through the proposed 2022-2025 District Annual Action plan for members’ deliberations.
Exclusion of Ex-gratia of the Hon Assembly Members in the plan Hon Justice Anokye drew the attention of the house of the absence of ex-gratia of Hon Assembly members from the plan which the DPO stated, it was an oversight.; The house after extensive deliberations of the Hon. Assembly Members Ex-Gratia decided that management should capture same on the plan for implementation.
Fumigation Hon. Daniel Obeng also stated that, he did not see in the plan district-wide fumigation of drains and other facilities within the communities. The house discussed and tasked the Planning Officer to include fumigation and ensure that sanitary sites within the district are fumigate. Community Centre at Brahabome. Hon Daniel Obeng, again mentioned that, Brahabebome community which had huge population had no Community Center for official and communal gathering and usage and therefore, suggested for the inclusion of same into the draft Medium Term Plan. Renovations of existing school buildings Hon Yakubu Lamin commented that, Electoral Areas such as Kwabrafoso East which had limited space for developmental projects should have their existing facilities like school building renovated. Desilting of choked gutters/streams Hon. Listowell Darko in contributing highlighted the need for the plan to capture desilting of all choked gutters and streams in the district to ensure good sanitary systems in the District saying that, communities like, Wawasi and Pomposo were within greater Obuasi and therefore, their main gutters and stream be desilted and fumigations be captured in the development plan. The meeting discussed the matter of desilting of chocked streams and tasked management to ensure that chocked streams in the district are desilted.
Proposed Construction of Accommodation Facilities Hon. Daniel Obeng drew the attention of members that, the DCE, DCD and District Police Commander were having accommodation and wanted to know why the plan captured construction of accommodation for the DCE, DCD and the District Commander. Hon DCE in commenting pleaded with the house to withdraw the proposed constructions of the bungalows and rather renovate and fence existing facilities to make them befitting and habitable while the Assembly would be working towards recouping the official DCE bungalow being used by the Obuasi Municipal Chief Executives.
Motion to accept the Draft District Medium Term Development Plan (2022-2025) Hon. Nana Kwamoa Bosompem after extensive discussions of the proposed Plan by the members moved for acceptance of the Draft District Term Medium Development Plan (2022-2025). The motion was seconded by Hon Justice Anokye and it was carried. The Assembly tasked Management to ensure strict implementation of the document. PRESENTATION OF 2020 AUDITOR GENERAL’S REPORT TO THE HOUSE Ms. Gloria Tabi, the District Internal Auditor presented the 2020 Auditor General’s Report to the house which she said, the Assembly 2020 Auditor General’s Report was received in May 2021 and the Act stipulate that the General Assembly has to aware of the details of the report for their action. The Internal Auditor then took the house through the report findings, observations and recommendations made by the Auditor’s General on the 2020 account of the Assembly. Members of the house deliberated on the report extensively and resolved that, management must ensure that all breaches found on the report must be address.
PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC RELATION AND COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE REPORT Miss Anna Aidoo Acquah, secretary to the PRCC presented the committee recommendations to the house as fellows; Ø That training programs be organized for the newly constituted Three (3) Town Councils Members to help them perform their duties effectively. Ø That public education on duties and responsibilities of the Town Councils be organized that would promote working relationship between the councils and the communities. Ø That, sensitization program was to be handled by the Heads of Departments. Ø That management should allocate an office accommodation and a secretary to the Presiding Member.

That the house after discussions of the committee report resolved that management must organize public education on duties and responsibilities of the Town Councils be organized that would promote working relationship between the councils and the communities
Hon. Listowel Okyere Darko after the presentation of the committee report moved for the acceptance of the report and his motion was seconded by Hon. Maxwell Owusu-Ansah and the report was carried.
INTRODUCTION NEWLY POSTED ELECTRICIAN TO THE ASSEMBLY The DCD at this juncture introduced Mr. Alexander Ofori. a newly posted Electrician to Obuasi East as an additional staff. The DCD said with effect all Hon. Members who had a fault should report to the works department for the release of the electrician to fixing of the faults.
PRESENTATION BY EMMANUEL GRAHAM FROM CHED COCOABOARD Mr. Emmanuel Graham of CHED- Cocoaboard in his brief report to the house stated that, cocoa was brought in Ghana by Tetteh Quarshie which had now become one of the most important Ghana export products. Cocoa Management Systems On cocoa management systems (CMS), the reporter said, the system promotes transparency and inclusiveness in the production and supply of cocoa saying that digital Management System among others gathered information of every cocoa farmer and households, farm size and location, bio and occupational data’s, which embodied in a unique identification card used by the farmer in all cocoa transactions. He added that, the system would also provide unique electronic account to all farmers on cocoa sales, payments and other transactions. Free seedling distribution programme Regarding the above, Mr. Emmanuel Graham stated that, yearly, Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) through the Seed Production Division (SPD) raises disease-tolerant hybrid cocoa seedlings for distribution to farmers free of charge. He said the initiative aimed at increasing cocoa productions and incomes of cocoa farmers. Saying that, distribution of the seedlings to farmers was mostly done from May – July every year to enable farmers plant them.
Mode of distribution The reporter then took the house through the mode of distributions of seedling’s and said, seedlings were raised by Seed Production Division (SPD) at over 380 nursery sites established in communities across the cocoa regions. Saying that the Cocoa Health and Extension Division (CHED) distribute the seedlings using farmer data system (CMS) adding that seedlings were produced to Support the establishment of new farms, support Farms under rehabilitation, replant burnt farms as well as Fill vacancies on farm.
Rehabilitation of Cocoa Trees On rehabilitation of cocoa trees, Mr. Graham said, Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) had rolled out rehabilitation programme for cocoa farms who were affected by the swollen shoot disease of which affected cocoa trees were cut down for re-planting with new hybrid cocoa seedlings saying that, any farmer who needs rehabilitation of cocoa trees should seek technical advice from the Agric Extention officers for appropriate guidance and technique.
Questions by the Hon. Assembly Members. 1. Hon. Samuel Aboagye wanted to know how and when cocoa inputs were distributed. 2. Mr Graham responded that, inputs were distributed through cooperative groups. 3. Hon. Listowell Okyere Darko on his part urged the cocoa board to embark on education and ensure that farmers joined association or corporative group since before any further farmer receipt cocoa inputs he has to belong to an association or cooperative.
PRESENTATION BY THE HEAD OF NSSBI Mr. Kelvin Ofori-Attah told the house that, recruitment of hotel attendants was on-going and that interested applicants could pick up a form at the DCE’s office for the job. He said, there were few challenges with respect to the disbursement of Covid-19 funds as a result of hacking the software by the hackers. He said despite that a lot of people received monies on their mobile phones while others received theirs through their accounts saying that, wrong applications due to uncompleted application forms or same identification which were notified were denied the funds. He concluded by calling on the house to exercise patience as their application is been processed. Hon. Alfred Ofosu Donkor commented that, NSSBI should have educated applicants on radio regarding reasons why some applicants were not honored. Hon. Listowell Darko on his part wanted to know when master’s funds would be paid and why the delay in releasing that funds. Mr. Kelvin Ofori-Attah responded that when the challenges are addressed payment would be made provided applications were validated and processed.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS 1. Desilting of Cocoase, Kwabrafoso and Akoporiso-Obaapanin Drains. Hon. Isaac Nsaah and Hon Kasim Suleman of PTP and Brahabebome Electoral Area respectively reported that, Cocoase and Kwabrafoso drains as well as Akaporiso-Obaapanin River needs an immediate desilting to avoid flooding whenever it rains around those areas. The house discussed the matter and resolved that, the District works engineer should ensure that Cocoase, and Kwabrafoso drains and the Akaporiso-Obaapanin river be desilted. 2. Provision of Refuse Container at Ahansonyewodea. Hon Vincent Kwasi Donkor commented that, there was the need for the Assembly to placed metallic refuse container at Ahansoyewodea for the dumping of refuse by the community to improve and ensure good sanitary hygiene in the community. The meeting after deliberating decided that management should place Refuse Container at Ahasoyewodea 3. Tables and Chairs for Hon. Assembly Members for Assembly Meeting Hon. Justice Anokye proposed to Management for the provisions of tables and chairs to be used for the Assembly meetings. He added that, Hon members would be grateful if Management could procure T-shirt and print with the Assembly Logo to be used by Hon. Members during Assembly meetings. 4. Labour Office Sign Post Hon. Bismark Osie Akowuah drew the attention of Management the erected sign post with inscription Municipal Labour Office meanwhile the Office was within the Obuasi East District and therefore the inscription be change to Labour Department Office Obuasi. Members tasked management to do the needful and report 5. E-block building Hon Maxewll Owusu-Ansah mentioned that, management should use all available means to ensure that, the E- Blocks at Kwabenakwa continued that he said, could be used to reduce pressure on the existing facilities due to over populated students at Kwabenakwa school. The meeting discussed and tasked management to visit the project site and revert. 6. Procurement of Grader Hon. Mike Afoakwah suggested to the house to procure a grader to be used by the Assembly for grading of all feeder roads within the district that he said would reduce maintenance cost of the feeder roads. Members of the house deliberated the proposal and decided to find the possibility of procuring the equipment for feeder roads in the District.
CLOSING REMARKS BY THE PRESIDING MEMBER. The Presiding Member, Hon. Jeff K.A. Oware, thanked members for making the meeting successfully. He advised Hon. Members to go back to their various electoral areas and educate their electorate issues discussed at the general Assembly meeting for their information.
