The Obuasi East Municipal Assembly led by the Chief Executive Hon. Adzowu Kofi William, has formed sub-committees to enhance the performance of the Assembly’s duties. The committees were formed during the Special Assembly Meeting held purposely for the formation of the committees on Wednesday 28th May, 2025 at the Assembly’s conference Hall.
As part of its functions, the Assembly forms sub-committees tasked with collating and deliberating on issues. These sub-committees assist the Municipal Assembly in its deliberative, legislative, and executive roles by submitting recommendations to the Executive Committee for action
The statutory committees constituted were, Finance and Administration sub-committee led by Hon. Moro Musah, Justice and Security sub-committee led by Hon. Jibrine Jalil, Development Planning sub-committee-Hon. Charles Abu, Works sub-committee – Hon. Charles Doe, Social Service sub – committee – Hon. Barnabas Peprah, Mines and Environment sub- committee – Hon. Emmanuel Osei and Agric sub-committee to be chaired by Rev. Emmanuel Akotey.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Adzowu Kofi William directed all committee members to contribute their expertise and demonstrate service leadership. He emphasized considering the broader needs of the electorate, expressing confidence that their contributions would significantly enhance the Municipality’s progress.
