Every Country develops and improves the lives of its citizens with revenue. As World Bank clearly puts it, “any good quality tax system is to raise revenue to deliver valuable services for citizens, while also providing benefits for state building, wealth distribution and incentives for innovation, investment and trade.” Building a strong revenue mobilization technique helps to strengthen domestic capacities for revenue collection.
For effective and efficient utilization of these techniques, field worker needs to be extensively trained so as to increase revenue compliance. It is in view of this that the Human Resource Department of Obuasi East District Assembly organises a day training for revenue collectors on the 19th May,2023 through One Time Lobby Consult.
The purpose of the training was to further sharpen the skill set of the assembly’s revenue collectors in order to increase revenue and revenue compliance. The training also emphasized on some the rules and regulations one will have to follow in other to build client trust and integrity for effective compliance from clients. In the end, a lot of questions were raised and the answers and contribution made the concept easy to understand and practical. The collectors thanked the consultants for the insightful highlights.
