The much anticipated Railway line from Kumasi to Obuasi is set to be constructed. On Tuesday 24th August 2021, the Ghana Railway Development Authority together with AFCONS Construction Limited, the contractor for the project as well as SAL Consult and TEAM Engineering met stakeholders from both Obuasi East District Assembly and Obuasi Municipal Assembly.
The stakeholder engagement was to discuss concerns regarding the project activities and address related activities.
The meeting afforded opportunity for stakeholders to ask questions regarding the Economic and Social impact of the project.
Honorable Faustina Amissah, the District Chief Executive for Obuasi East assured the Ghana Railway Development Authority and AFCONS Construction of the Assembly’s support throughout the construction process.
