Obuasi East MCE Gifts Kwabenakwa JHS Gh₵ 5,000.00 After Winning 2025 Aseda FM Science And Maths Quiz

Kwabenakwa M/A Junior High School in Obuasi East made their mark in the recent ASEDA FM Science and Math quiz competition, held among schools in Obuasi East and Obuasi Municipal Assemblies. The students’ hard work and dedication paid off as they emerged victorious, showcasing their exceptional knowledge and skills in science and mathematics.
The competition was fierce, with talented students from various schools participating and demonstrating their understanding of complex concepts. However, Kwabenakwa M/A JHS stood out, impressing the judges with their confidence, critical thinking, and teamwork.
As a token of appreciation for their outstanding performance, Kwabenakwa M/A JHS was honored to present their trophy to the Obuasi East Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. William Kofi Adzowu.
The MCE praised the students for their achievement, emphasizing the importance of science and mathematics education in shaping the future of Ghana.
As a way of motivating the contestants and the entire team, The MCE offered them an amount of GH₵ 5,000.00, the three (3) contestants received GH₵1,000.00 each and remaining GHS 2,000.00 was given to the school and the teachers who prepared the students.
“Kwabenakwa M/A JHS’s win is a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and innovation. The students’ achievement serves as a motivation for their peers, encouraging them to strive for greatness in their academic pursuits”. Hon. William Adzowu added.
He seized the opportunity to commend the Municipal Education Director and his entire staff, Head teacher of Kwabenakwa MA JHS, the Coordinator for the contestants for their hard work towards the achievement.
The contestants: Isaac Annan, Adarkwah Frankline and Abigail Boateng were overjoyed and promised to defend the trophy in the next edition.
The delegation was led by the following SISOs, Joseph Nunoo, Patience Botchway, Ruth Owusuaah together with the Head Teacher, Ahmed Isaaka, Coordinator Joyce Mensah Ayittey, and Mariwaana Ishak a Teacher at Kwabenakwa.
This victory not only brought recognition to the school but also inspired other students to pursue excellence in STEM fields.
