Slot Dana Always REPORT ON DESILTING OF GUTTERS ON SATURDAY 15TH MAY, 2021 AT TUTUKA
INTRODUCTION
Kuta4d – In the desire of the Assembly to ensure clean and friendly environment, the First Ordinary Session of the General Assembly charged the management of the Assembly to arrange for gutters to be desilted especially in the central business areas of the District as the rainy season approaches. This was resolved at a meeting which was organised in April, 2021. The District Assembly Management agreed to this resolution and planned to see to its achievement.
In the month of May, the Assembly started with the desilting of gutters exercise in Tutuka. The staff of the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit, NADMO, Zoomlion, Fire service with the leaders and members of the community came together on 15th May, 2021 to make sail with the project. The exercise started at about 7:00am and closed at about 12:30pm.

CONCLUSION
Desilting of gutters is one of the major practices that help reduce or curb the rate of flooding in communities. It is also an avenue to ensure that good health is promoted among the residents in the district. In view of achieving a clean environment, the general public is needed to fully participate in such activities as it is their civic responsibility at Slot deposit dana.
