Deputy Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development ( MLGDRD) visits Obuasi East District Assembly

A Deputy Minister of Local Government slot gacor, Decentralization and Rural Development ( MLGDRD), Hon. Collins Augustine Ntim has paid a day’s working visit to the Obuasi East District.


The visit according to the Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Offinso North Constituency was to familiarize himself with how the plethora of Programmes and Policies rolled up by the NPP Government has been implemented by the Obuasi East District.


He said Programmes such as the Planting for Food and Jobs, One District One Factory (IDIF), Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), the Digitization Agenda, Free Senior High School have been deliberately implemented to ensure equitable allocation of resources.


He mentioned that since the MMDAs are drivers of these flagship programs, it was important for the Minister and his Deputies to tour the various MMDAs to be up to speed with how the Programmes are implemented at the District and urged the DCE and her staff to do more to ensure that the people benefit from the investment made by the Government.


The District Chief Executive Honorable Faustina Amissah who welcomed the Minister to the District commended him for taking time off his busy schedule to visit the District.


She emphasized that the Assembly has made sure all the sectors of the economy of the District has had some form of transformation.
