A day’s workshop was held on Wednesday 1st March, 2021 in the Obuasi East District to build the capacity of revenue collectors in the District.
Opening the Workshop, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Faustina Amissah, said the training was to build the capacity of revenue collectors and to further enhance their knowledge in revenue mobilization.
She then called on the revenue collectors to take their training seriously to achieve the desired goal.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Eric Aboagye-Mensah who served as the facilitator for the training took members through topics such as the sources of local government revenue, operational techniques in revenue mobilization, communication and behavioural approach
He said the workshop sought to enable the revenue collectors to set targets and also to refresh their minds on new methods of mobilizing revenue to make their work much easier and productive.
